True Beauty
With beauty spas and health salons opening all over Turkey at a record pace, it is a good to step back for a moment and reflect on what is actually “True Beauty”. While it is great to work on our outward appearance, we cannot forget the age old secret that “an ordinary face is often surprisingly beautiful by reason of an inner light.” In ancient Semetic languages “cheerful” and beauty” come from the same root word. Smiling is a wonderful beautifier.
The inner beauty, attitude and character – these things matter. Don’t get so busy trying to imitate, copy or “clone” someone else, as you may end up loosing the “real unique you” which is one of a kind. Former film star, humanitarian and UNICEF ambassador Audrey Hepburn had the following to say about Beauty:
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
The following are some great time tested beauty tips:
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
This is the true beauty that can transcend time, the beauty of the soul that lights the eyes and transforms a plain woman into a beautiful one. Woman with wit, charm and warmth, who are interested in life and in others are the lasting beauties in the world—and the happiest!
